What does this outage owe?
Enter the contract's terms and the month's numbers. The calculator shows each step from minutes to a credit, using the same credit code as Observer's SLA Ledger.

A calculated credit reflects the terms entered here. Your contract decides what is owed.
Method
How it is calculated.
Window
Scheduled maintenance comes out first
The measured window is the period minus scheduled maintenance. Downtime that overruns the schedule still counts, so enter only the scheduled minutes here.
Missing data
Three rules, and a coverage floor
Minutes with no data are excluded from the window (and coverage is disclosed), counted as downtime, or counted as available, whichever the contract says. When coverage falls below the minimum, no credit is calculated automatically: a monitoring gap should go to review, not turn into a large credit.
Attainment
(counted − down) / counted × 100
Compared with each threshold at full precision and shown truncated to three decimals, never rounded up.
Tiers
Strictly below, highest wins
A tier applies only when attainment is strictly below its threshold: exactly 99.9% against a 99.9% tier earns nothing from that tier. When several tiers apply, the highest credit wins; tiers are not added together.
Cap and amount
Cap, then fee × credit
The credit is capped at the contract's maximum. With a fee, the amount is fee × credit / 100, rounded half up to the cent.
